Mid-Century Gordon Russell Sideboard | £695
A superb light oak sideboard attributed to Gordon Russell of Broadway, and likely retailed through Heal’s of London.
A wonderful example of post-war British design, with the honest simplicity and craftsmanship associated with the Cotswold School.
The pronounced oak grain, sculptural dark wood handles and distinctive loop-style plinth give the piece a beautifully considered, timeless quality.
Fully restored, it offers plenty of practical storage with two cupboards, each with a fixed shelf, plus four central drawers, including one with useful internal sections. A classic piece of British mid-century design that would sit equally well in a period or contemporary interior.
