60s swedish cabinet
Tage Olofsson for Ulferts Teak Sideboard | £895
A striking example of Scandinavian mid-century design, this teak sideboard was designed by Tage Olofsson for Ulferts, Sweden, in the 1960s.
The warm teak veneer has a distinctive vertical grain, complemented by two top drawers with recessed circular pulls and a double-door lower cabinet with small wooden knobs and original keyhole escutcheons.
The piece has been carefully restored, with new plywood shelves added and new door knobs fitted. The doors can be locked and a key is included. One of the drawers has useful built-in cutlery sections.
A refined and highly practical piece of Scandinavian furniture, with plenty of storage and some lovely period detailing.
