A striking example of British mid-century furniture, this walnut chest was designed by John Herbert for A. Younger in the mid-1950s. The warm walnut is complemented by sculpted wooden handles, a gently projecting top and elegant tapered legs, giving the piece a distinctive yet understated presence.
It remains in excellent original condition, retaining its original finish and character. A fine example of John Herbert’s early work for A. Younger and a versatile piece for a bedroom, living room or hallway.
